築30年の木造住宅のリノベーションです。代々この土地に住む旧家には日々様々な来客があるため、接客のためのタイプの異なった複数のスペースを設けています。住宅ですが、パブリックな部分の多い家です。
施主のご要望により接着剤や塗料、断熱材など、下地に至るまで揮発性の材料をほとんど使わずに作っています。フルリフォームにもかかわらず、家の中の空気は外と変わらずさわやかです。住環境の改善をこえて、分子レベルの公共性を感じています。

House Renovation with non-chemical material

We renovated a 30 year-old wooden house. Because the owner, a family of pedigree, welcomes guests and visitors daily, we planned several different types of reception rooms.  In short, it has lots of public space in the house.  By request by the owner, there rarely are used volatile materials even for substrate: as adhesive, paint, and heat insulation. As a result of omitting scent of chemical material, residents have been able to enjoy fresh air in the house right after renovation.
